Board Composition:

Geoscientists, Geologists and Soil Scientists are included in an existing board of licensure which consists of three architects, six engineers, three interior designers, two landscape architects, two land surveyors, one geologist, one soil scientist and five public members.

Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an approved geology curriculum or equivalent.
Experience: Five years, progressive and varied in geology.
Exam: ASBOG®
First ASBOG® Exam: April 1998
Continuing Education: Continuing Education in effect since August 1, 1999. Licensees must obtain 24 PDH, before license renewal every two years.

Grandfathering:

Ended August 5, 1998

Cooperative Licensure - (Comity/Reciprocity):

The Board accepts comity with other Member Boards, provided the applicant meets the requirements of the Minnesota Board Statutes and Rules, at the time of initial licensure.
